Department stores are usually way ahead of the game with Halloween and Christmas decorations starting to appear in August. Though many of us think it is crazy to be thinking about things pumpkins and stockings while we are still soaking up the summer sun, it may not be a bad idea to think about the Fall and Winter ahead.
In order to prepare for the cooler seasons, you want to make sure that your furnace is in tip top shape. It is recommended that you have your home heating system inspected annually by a qualified HVAC technician. Having a furnace inspection completed can save you money in the long run by finding little problems before they become big problems and checking that your furnace is not wasting any excess energy. Scheduling a furnace inspection for the beginning of heating season is a great way to see that your furnace is running safely, properly, and efficiently for the cold weather ahead. And, according to The Weather Channel, temperatures are looking to be chilly this Fall!
“The September through November months are expected to feature cooler-than-average temperatures across the northern tier of states, according to a fall temperature outlook by The Weather Company, an IBM Business.” (Weather.com)
So, it may be too early to begin thinking about decking the halls just yet, but with cooler temperatures headed our way in September, it is not too early to think about preparing your furnace for winter.
