Have you ever heard the story about the Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf who’s trying to make their lives more complicated than they need to be? You have? Okay, then stop me if you heard about the Three Little Pigs who live in Detroit and use FLAME Heating Cooling Plumbing and Electrical for all of their residential needs. Oh, and by the way, the three pigs are Gold Plan customers. Who knew?
Metro Detroiters saw the pigs and FLAME crew for themselves last week during the 85th America’s Thanksgiving Parade. Surrounded by 11 bands, 8 huge balloons, 130 paper mache heads, more than 20 other floats, nearly a thousand clowns and 5000 volunteers, the folks at FLAME proudly marched down Woodward Avenue while embracing this year’s theme, So Much To Believe In.
As if the festivities weren’t special enough, guests this year included National and World Champion gymnast Jordyn Wieber, Dale Earnhardt Jr., the Selected of God Choir and Annabelle Road, making the event one for the record books! And, of course, it wouldn’t be a parade without the mayor of Detroit, Dave Bing, giving Santa the key to the city. We’re told they sprung for a few quarters to feed the meter so Santa could park his sleigh while accepting the honor.
The folks here at FLAME are proud to have been a part of the Thanksgiving parade tradition two years in a row and are looking forward to our third. The Detroit area, now more than ever, needs to keep the dream and hope alive because there really is much to believe in here.
Have a very safe and happy holiday season!
