5 (More) HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Inspired Costumes

Halloween is right around the corner, and while some of us may have had our costumes ready since July, for others of us, we may still be coming up with what to dress ourselves (or our children up as).  An article from Pop Sugar has plenty of creative ideas including how to dress up as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and baby Archie, but we have some other ideas for you to consider.

Last year, we published this post with some HVAC (and plumbing/electrical) themed costume ideas.  Here is an updated version this year:

1. Plumber

This is a pretty obvious costume, and you can easily find plenty of varieties of it on websites such as Amazon or Ebay.

2. Drain Snake

These nifty tools have become a lifesaver for many of us with clogged drains.  We can celebrate them by using them as a costume inspiration this year. How? First, It is easy to find a snake costume such as this one from Amazon.  Then, simply make a sign to hang around your neck that says “DRAIN.” Simple and clever.

3. Poop

It may sound gross, but especially with the advent of the poop emoji, we can’t deny that we have been seeing this #2 image around for a while.  You can find a Poop mask from Party City, or a full on costume from Amazon,

4. Ceiling Fan

With love this idea from Mowery Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing.  Simply take an old ceiling fan and use the blades to create a costume as a fan.  It might be a little heavy for young kids, so you could try the same idea by creating a hat out of a pinwheel.

5. A Celebrity

If you read our previous post, you know that plumbing and electrical work were careers that a few well-known celebrities tried out before coming famous.  Dress up as Elvis or George Harrison from the Beatles and you have a FLAME approved costume!
