If so, then it is probably too old.  By 12 years old, an air conditioner should be replaced.  This is because, it is no longer running effectively or efficiently.  Furthermore, if your air conditioner has problems after it has reached 10 years of age, it is generally more cost effective to consider investing in a new one, rather than investing in repairs.  Additionally, newer units are more energy efficient than older ones.  If you  are interested in learning more, contact FLAME!
