The Comfort Institute

The Energy Experts at FLAME Heating, Cooling, and Electrical have been extensively trained through an international group known as the Comfort Institute. Based in Washington state, the Comfort Institute is a company dedicated to helping homeowners achieve a safe, healthy, clean, comfortable, and affordable indoor living environment. FLAME Energy Experts are in constant contact with the Comfort Institute and are continually offered new training experiences.

The Comfort Institute has two main goals, one centered on homeowners and one on indoor comfort contractors. To homeowners, they provide “unbiased information on how to solve common comfort and unhealthy air problems; how to save energy and money; and how to get the best value when investing in a new heating and cooling system.”  To contractors, they supply “technical training and support to improve their problem-solving abilities and installation quality.”

Comfort Institute’s Consumer Protection Division provides homeowners with valuable consumer information and tips that cover many aspects of home comfort, including ways to reduce or eliminate common problems such as:
