What to Expect this Fall 2020

The only things certain in life are death and taxes.  If 2020 has taught us anything, it has taught us that that idiom is very true.  This past January, when we were busy making New Year’s Resolutions, who could have ever guessed we would be wearing face masks and buying hand sanitizer by the gallon in July?  At this point, how can we have any idea of what to expect this fall 2020?

Another thing that we can count on, of course, is the weather.  There will always be weather and even though day-to-day weather itself can be a little unpredictable, we have somewhat of an idea of what it will look like throughout the year.

 The National Weather Service and The Weather Company via The Weather Channel have both released their predictions for what this fall will look like in regard to weather.  While we may not have any idea what fall will bring in terms of anything else, when it comes to the weather we can be prepared.

What to Expect this Fall?

Both sources are predicting that Michigan should have a warmer than usual September, October, and November. “The warm pattern that has prevailed for much of this summer across the United States is expected to continue into late summer and the first two months of fall….” (Source:  The Weather Channel).

While that does not mean you should plan on still wearing bathing suits around Halloween, I think we can all look forward to being able to comfortably spend time outside into the fall months.  Since the CDC recommends social distancing with others outside versus indoors, this is something we can all be grateful for!

When it does get cold…

All good things must come to and end, and at some point those temperatures will drop.  Don’t forget to schedule an annual furnace maintenance inspection in order to ensure that it is working properly.
