FLAME is a home comfort company that is over 65 years old, and its services and products have evolved over time to best meet the changing needs of its customers.  It was founded as FLAME Furnace in 1949 by Robert Marowske.  During this time, air conditioning, especially in residential homes, was very uncommon, so FLAME focused solely on heating.  Fun fact:  during the early years FLAME sold Christmas trees during Christmas time to help make ends meet.

The change in FLAME Furnace’s name to FLAME Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical mirrors the change in the services that FLAME began to offer.  Over time, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical services were added.  Today, Robert’s son, Gary, runs the company.  He took over leadership in 2001.  Since  its inception in 1949, FLAME has worked to become Southeast Michigan’s largest heating and cooling company.  It is also a Bryant factory authorized dealer, and it has been a Bryant Medal of Excellence winner on numerous occasions.  It has also recently become an authorized Nest dealer. FLAME family consists of over 60 employees and 60 vehicles on the road.

FLAME technicians are highly qualified and many are NATE certified.  Though many things at FLAME have changed over the past 65 years, its commitment to its values and respect for its customer has stayed the same.  FLAME Heating, Cooling, Plumbing continues to be a family run company. Many of its team members, including its president, Gary, are active members in non profit organizations such as the Salvation Army and church groups.  FLAME’s goal is to help people, and keep its customers its number one priority.
