The Flame Olympics

For most of us, competing in the Olympic is just a dream.  However, that doesn’t stop us from watching them.  In college, during the Winter Olympics, I created a ritual of getting a smoothie and settling down to watch figure skating, downhill skiing, speed skating etc…  I assume I will have a similar experience this summer.  While ruminating on the Olympics, I remembered an old blog post that I wrote about the Flame Gold Plan, “Go for Gold!-Flame’s Gold Plan.”  At the time, I thought this correlation was pretty clever but now I have been seeing more and more Flame and Olympic similarities pop up.

Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals

These medals are used to reward and acknowledge those who performed the best in their events.  (At Flame, we have Silver, Gold and Gold Plus.)  Numerous rewards and benefits such as priority service and discounts come with these plans.

Olympic Flame

The use of the Olympic Flame dates back to antiquity during the original Olympic Games.  It was thought that Promotheus, a man, stole fire from the god, Zeus.  Fire was often used for ancient Greek religious purposes.  According to topendsports it represents “…purity and the endeavor for perfection.”  Like the Olympics, we have our own “Flame” that has historical connections and traditions.  Flame Furnace has been in business since 1949 and our Flame traditions include: quality & caring service and exceeding customer expectations.  At Flame we also strive for perfection in our customer service.

Olympians

Olympians are trained people who are excellent at their craft.  They either work individually or in a team to win medals and honor for their country.  At Flame we have highly trained and certified technicians.  Technicians may work on their own at a household or with others and the work of everyone at the company brings honor and success to Flame.  Flame has won its own medals:  The Bryant Gold Medal of Excellence Award (four times) as well as the National Contractor of the Year from Contracting Business Magazine.

Olympic Motto

The Olympic motto is “swifter, higher, stronger.”  In a sense, this motto can also be applied to Flame.  Our goal is to be the best.  We hope to present our customers with better, more courteuous and more timely service than any other company

Though none of the Flame team members may actually be competing in this summer’s Olympics, we hold the spirit of the games close at hand.  Flame Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical is proud to support Team USA.  For more information about Flame maintenance plans and service, please feel free to contact Flame!

Information that I used was found here:  Wikipedia:  The Free Encyclopedia “Olympic Flame” and topendsports: “Olympic Games Traditions.”
