Use a Drip Calculator to Find Out How Much Water is Wasted in your Home

Have you ever had someone tell you that every little bit counts?  This is a great way to think when working towards a goal with a large group, however, the saying still holds true even when it is something you do not want.  For example, a leaky faucet.  One small drip may not seem like a lot, but every little bit counts.

Say you have 3 faucets in your home, and each one is a little bit leaky-they each drip once per minute.  According to the Drip calculator from the U.S. Geological Survey’s Water Science School, those little drops from all 3 faucets would turn into a waste of 1 liter per day and 104 gallons per year!

As you can see, these little drops do add up, and not to something good.  It is important to have leaky plumbing fixed right away because even if it doesn’t seem like a lot, every little bit definitely counts.
