What a Hot August Means for You

Forecasters are calling for August 2019 to have temperatures that are average or slightly above average What a Hot August Means for Youin southeastern Michigan.  Average temperatures in Detroit usually hover around 80 degrees, which means that we are looking at a pretty toasty August this year.

Schedule Your Inspections

It’s still not too late to schedule an air conditioner inspection.  August is going to be hot, and we all know that not all fall days in Michigan are cool and crisp.  Therefore, it is still worthwhile to make sure that your air conditioner is running properly and efficiently.

On another note, it’s also not too early to schedule a furnace inspection.  Because, unfortunately August means back to school sales are starting and that heating season is just around the corner.

Stay Vigilant about Heat Safety

We may be out of the dog days of summer, but heat related illnesses can occur anytime the temperatures spike.  Stay hydrated, stay cool, and stay safe this August.

Hot days are the perfect time to check out many of the splash pads, pools, or water parks southeastern Michigan has to offer.  Make the most of these last few weeks of summer.  Want to relax in the comfort of your own yard?  You can still have some water fun with these ideas.

Control Your Thermostat

With hot temperatures on the horizon, it can be so tempting to just crank the a/c.  However, manually adjusting the thermostat or programming it to be a few degrees warmer during the day than at night can save you quite a bit of money.
