How can you tell that spring is coming? By seeing flowers blooming, hearing birds chirping, and witnessing Easter egg hunting? What about noticing open windows, more people out walking, and wind breakers replacing heavy coats? Whatever are the markers for you, it definitely feels like spring is in the air! Unfortunately, for us in Michigan, we are usually pretty cautious with our spring enthusiasm. We’ve had too many weeks that start warm and end with snow. So, as we ease into April, let’s see what the weather has in store for us and whether or not we can be excited about warmer weather.
The Weather Company has released its weather outlook for April 2021, and it seems like our hats and gloves may be able to go down to basement storage…and stay there.
The Weather Channel states, “A warm April is expected for much of the U.S., according to the latest update issued by The Weather Company, an IBM Business. Temperatures will be the most above average in April from parts of the Rockies into the Northern and Central Plains and northern Great Lakes.”
Metro Detroit average temperature highs usually range in the 50s while lows are often in the high 30s-low 40s Fahrenheit. This means, if temperatures happen as predicted this April, with higher than average temps, we could see a pretty mild month. Bring on the short sleeved t-shirts!
Therefore, this month, plan to enjoy the time outside and say goodbye to winter. Of course, do not forget to one of your most important spring time tasks–at least in our opinion–schedule your air conditioner inspection. The weather may be mild now, but before you realize it, hot summer temperatures will be here. Contact us at Flame Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical for more information!
