Responded to a service call for a non-functioning sump pump system in the basement. Upon arrival, assessed the existing sump pump installation located in a corner basin with vertical PVC discharge piping. The pump had failed and required replacement. Removed the old pump unit from the basin and installed a new submersible sump pump with appropriate float switch mechanism.
