I’m sure many of you have heard of the trend of being basic–especially during the fall months. Things like drinking pumpkin spice lattes, taking selfies in an apple orchard, and wearing boots and flannel are all considered ‘basic.’ While sites such as BuzzFeed might poke at these things, the truth is that a lot of them are basic for a reason–because they are fun!
This year, many of us are finding even more reason to spend time outside, thanks to CDC Covid-19 guidelines. At Flame, we are doing all we can to make sure that our customers stay safe and healthy. Picking pumpkins, while ‘basic,’ is one great fall activity that can get us outside, allow us to maintain social distance, and give us some sense of normalcy this fall. Here is where we are looking for pumpkins, gourds, and all things fall this year!
If you need a pumpkin and quickly, you can obviously just swing by your local grocery store (Rumor has it that Aldi has some of the best prices)
Located in Armada, Michigan, Blake’s offers pumpkin picking as well as apple picking, hay rides, an animal farm, and delicious cider and donuts.
Corn maze, cider mill, and of course–pumpkins! Wiard’s is located west of Detroit in Yspilanti.
Looking for someplace north of Detroit? Check out Stoney Creek Orchard and Cider Mill. They describe themselves as “Old Fashioned Family Fun” and have a family friendly farm atmosphere.
Still looking for a place to get a pumpkin this year? Don’t forget about Hy’s! You can leave with a pumpkin and a caramel apple or apple cider slush.
Located in Northville, Three Cedars Farms, was actually featured in Country Living as one of the top 36 pumpkin patches in the United States.
So, where will you be getting your pumpkins this year?
