Happy Summer Solstice!

We have already been experiencing many of the ‘symptoms’ of summer:

  • Thunderstorms
  • Hot temperatures
  • The pools are open
  • Sunburns

However, summer, for the Northern Hemisphere, did not officially start until this last Saturday, on June 21.  June 21 marked the Summer Solstice for 2014, and it is the first day of summer, as well as the longest day of the year.  Now, it is true that all days are 24 hours long, but on the Summer Solstice, there is the longest amount of daylight in the year.  The days surrounding the solstice are also marked by incredibly long hours of daylight.  The Summer Solstice always occurs between June 20-22.

Since it is already the end of June you may be thinking that it is too late at this point for an annual air conditioner inspection, but summer has only just begun!  Also, it is important to note that you do not have to wait for an air conditioner inspection to turn the unit on and start using.

Questions?  Contact FLAME!  Now, go outside and enjoy that extra daylight!
